What are "Help Yourself Stalls?"
A fun activity where people fill a bag/container with the bath salts of their choice.
Where can I set up a “Help Yourself Stalls”?
Anywhere you could set up a stall/tables ie. Fete, Fun Day, Markets, Trade Fair, Open Day, Birthday, Pamper Party, Workshop, Shopping Centre, Beauty Store, Child Care Centres, Child Activity Centres etc.
What type of bath salts would I use?
This will depend on your venue and the customers the venue attracts ie. coloured unscented bath salts are perfect for fetes, markets, fairs, show days, birthdays and open days as they are bright and colourful. Scented bath salts and speciality salts with herbs and moisturising oils are perfect for pamper parties, workshops, beauty stores, day spas and trade fairs etc.
What do I need?
Trays/containers to pour your bath salts into (stackable 5lt trays are perfect for unscented salts, if you plan to do this on a regular basis), spoons or scoops, funnels, bags/bottles for your customers to fill, ties if selling bags, price list and signs to promote what you are doing. Use metal items if you have scented salts as plastic will absorb and hold the scent.

Tip 9: Set up another table and offer a workshop for groups to make gifts, wedding favors, kids parties.
Opinion:
This is a better way to sell bath salts in an open venue, than reselling only bagged bath salts. People tend to go to an open venue such as a fete or market etc., when they have more time to browse and be involved. Filling a bag with lots of colours or mixing scented salts with herbs is lots of fun for people to show their creativity.
